Deze nieuwe generatie bestaat uit vier warmtepompmodellen gebaseerd op de GEA Grasso M schroefcompressoren H, L, M, N, die nieuw ontwikkeld zijn voor toepassingen van 52 bar. De GEA RedAstrum draagt hitte over aan een verwarmingsdrager op temperaturen tussen de 55 en 80 °C, die gebruikt kan worden voor industriële processen of voor toevoer naar een stadsverwarmingsnetwerk.

Together with Mona Neubaur, Minister of Economic Affairs of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, GEA CEO Stefan Klebert has opened a new technology center for pharmaceutical freeze-drying systems in Elsdorf, Germany. GEA employs approximately 260 people at the facility, which combines research and development with production and service under one roof.
