Vacuümdistillatie
Multi-stoomejectors worden het vaakst toegepast in de vacuümdistillatiekolom van olieraffinaderijen.
Na atmosferische distillatie wordt een grotere fractie ruwe olie naar de vacuümdistillatiekolom gevoerd. Dit is een van de meest productieve en kritische installaties in de raffinaderij is.
Het vacuüm in de distillatiekolom wordt behouden door middel van een meerfasige stoomejectorunit met:
- Booster-ejector (eerste ejector aangesloten op de distillatietoren)
- Hoofdcondensators en ontluchtingsunit (in sommige gevallen ook met stoomejector)
- Vloeistofring-vacuümpomp
