How Thermo Xchange Works
Thermo Xchange captures the latent heat contained in the humid air extracted from the dryer. Instead of letting this energy escape, our system uses a high-efficiency heat pump to transform it into usable heat at a higher temperature. This recovered energy is then reintegrated into the thermal circuit, powering the drying process without relying on boilers during normal operation. GEA employs approximately 260 people at the facility, which combines research and development with production and service under one roof.
