Om vaten in vervuilingsklasse I te reinigen is een vloeistofdistributie nodig die gelijktijdig grote hoeveelheden vloeistof afgeeft over het hele vatoppervlak. Statische sproeibollen beschikken over heel weinig mechanische kracht, dus vertrouwen ze op de vloeistof die langs de vatwanden omlaag stroomt om wrijving op het oppervlak te veroorzaken of om residuen van het productieproces op te lossen.
