GEA is now certified as a Top Employer in 21 countries across four continents. With eleven new certifications in the Asia-Pacific region, the company meets the requirements for the APAC Regional Seal of the Top Employers Institute for the first time – alongside the European Regional Seal GEA already holds.

GEA receives the regional Top Employer certification for Asia Pacific for the first time in 2026, complementing its existing certification for Europe.
Just one year ago, GEA held one Top Employer certification only in Asia-Pacific. Today the seal covers Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, making GEA eligible for the APAC Regional Seal for the first time. These new countries complement the certifications received earlier in 2026 in Belgium, China, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and Spain. A first-time certification in Turkey adds to the total.
“Asia-Pacific is one of GEA's most strategically important growth markets. Long-term success there requires the best talent. Earning Top Employer certification across twelve countries in the region sends a clear signal to our employees and to the market: GEA invests in people – and we can prove it,” says Dr. Nadine Sterley, Chief People & Sustainability Officer at GEA.

For the certification, the Top Employers Institute assesses HR practices in areas including leadership, working conditions and career development. The Institute evaluates an extensive structured questionnaire, reviews supporting evidence and conducts audit interviews with companies.
GEA supports employee development through GEA Academy offerings, which reached almost 18,000 employees in 2025. These include the Open Mentoring Program with 350 active tandems and leadership development programs for 300 employees. The company is committed to extending its Top Employer certification to further countries.
