GEA Grasso V HS & GEA Grasso LT: More Kilowatts per Euro – increased top speed for more capacity

With the release of our GEA Grasso V HS and GEA Grasso LT with increased maximum top speeds, you now no longer have to choose between initial investment and total cost of ownership. With our brand-new high-speed compressors, you get more out of your investment than ever before. How much? 25% more capacity for almost the same financial outlay. Now you can finally buy the best quality and the best price. Now you no longer have to worry about this small step, and can focus fully on your next giant leap.

The reciprocating compressor models GEA Grasso V 700, V 1100, V 1400, and V 1800, formerly at maximum speed of 1,200 rpm, can now be operated with NH3 up to 1,500 rpm. For GEA Grasso LT screw compressor types R, S, and T the allowable speed for NH3 will increase from previous maximum 3,600 rpm to 4,500 rpm.

GEA Grasso SP1 HP

Specifically designed for subcritical cooling applications with CO2 or heat pumps with NH3, the new high-pressure compressor package series meet the growing demands for natural refrigerants. Combined cooling and heating is also possible. The GEA Grasso SP1 HP (high-pressure) package is based on the successful, classic GEA Grasso SP1 line. With the widest CO2 cooling and NH3 heating capacity range in the market, we let you take every step in temperature you need.

GEA Blu-Red Fusion: The GEA Blu chiller and the GEA Red heat pump combined in one smart product

GEA Blu-Red Fusion

The GEA Blu-Red Fusion is particularly suited for combined cooling/refrigeration and heating demands at low heat source temperature levels and high temperature lifts between heat source and heat sink. The intermediate stage is equipped with one single, efficient ammonia-ammonia “cascade” heat exchanger. Not only does the design drastically reduce the equipment offer, it also makes an intermediate liquid cycle redundant which reduces the differential pressure of both stages and does not waste more Kilowatts on glycol or water pumps. The efficiency plus easily reaches double digit numbers. This means a dramatic reduction of energy costs and CO2 emissions.

GEA RedAstrum: New cascade version and more models with extended capacity range

GEA RedAstrum

GEA Red heat pumps can now be automatically configured with an ammonia cascade heat exchanger which simultaneously works as the condenser of the refrigeration system and the evaporator of the heat pump with one vessel.

The “add-on” Red heat pump is your logical #1 choice for all applications, which in addition to the cooling demand of an existing chiller system, reuses its waste heat for heating purposes. With temperature levels between 55 to 80 °C, this recovered heat can be utilized in any industrial process or fed into a district heating network. GEA KVplus and KVplus cryo valves

GEA KVplus and KVplus cryo valves

GEA has launched an addition to its range of ball valves by adding the KVplus and KVplus cryo series of top-entry ball valves designed specifically to operate with pressures of up to 100 bar. The KVplus series is capable over the full temperature range from -50°C to +200°C, the KVplus cryo series is capable over the temperature range from -196°C to +100°C. This makes the KVplus and KVplus cryo series suitable for use with natural refrigerants (NH3, CO2), cooling brines, and non-corrosive gases and liquids according to EN 378-1.

GEA ValveCalc 7.0 software program

GEA AWP's ValveCalc software is a key tool for fast and accurate design and selection of components in the planning phase of projects. GEA AWP will soon launch ValveCalc 7.0 which enables the selection and sizing of AWP refrigerant valves for refrigeration plants. The software is able to calculate the requirements of the entire project allowing the user to specify the equipment needed for the whole plant online using ValveCalc.

GEA provide compressor conversion kits for any screw compressor package. Each GEA Grasso conversion kit (GGCK) is supplied complete with a new GEA screw compressor and other standard components. Each conversion kit designed specifically to suit the existing package unit in order to minimize any on-site modifications. This enables fixed prices to be offered with short down times and a compressor manufacturer’s warranty is included.

A retrofit panel solution for industrial screw and piston compressor packages

GEA Omni™ Retrofit Panels have already proved their worth with compressor packages from many manufacturers.
