GEA Batch2Flow is a unique technology that bridges the gap between mixing and forming. This innovative system automatically transports a mix from the mixer to the former, transforming a batch process into an in-line process. With Batch2Flow, meat, poultry and plant-based mixtures always reach the former in optimal condition.
Fully automate your food processing line
Preparation is key when making formed products. A consistent mix of ingredients is essential, and the temperature and viscosity of the mix must be just right. GEA Batch2Flow keeps the dough perfectly and safely within the mixer until the former needs it. The mixture is then moved in small portions seamlessly and rapidly along a conveyor system straight into the former. No trolleys or cooled storage rooms are needed. The mixer controls portions as it loads the mix onto the conveyor, ensuring that temperature and viscosity are kept at optimal levels. This results in more accurate forming, reduced waste, and minimized downtime.

Revolutionary technology: GEA Batch2Flow
GEA Batch2Flow ingeniously moves your mixed product from the mixer to the former, maintaining the product's temperature and viscosity while preventing contamination. The system keeps the mix perfectly and safely within the mixer until needed. Batch2Flow allows the mix to be discharged gently onto a belt conveyor in controlled portions, using the mixer’s rotating wings. As a result, the mix reaches the former at precisely the right temperature and viscosity. Customized discharge gates and specialized machine and line software ensure seamless operation.

Together with Mona Neubaur, Minister of Economic Affairs of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, GEA CEO Stefan Klebert has opened a new technology center for pharmaceutical freeze-drying systems in Elsdorf, Germany. GEA employs approximately 260 people at the facility, which combines research and development with production and service under one roof.
