SpecificationsHigh-performance GEA SlicerBlades

The GEA OptiSlicer 6000 also includes new slicer blades with optimized geometry and the new GEA ResystRed/ ResystGold coating for an even smoother, more accurate cut, better portion control and less protein clogging.Crust freezing process might be avoided so CO2 and N2 consumption is eliminated, this results to a beneficial sustainability effect. There’s no need for a freezing unit in the slicing process, when operating with our dedicated saw-tooth edge slicing blade. This reduces preparation time and improves productivity.
New GEA SmartControl HMI

This allows access rights to be allocated to individual operators, enables complete production lines to be managed centrally and recipes to be changed very quickly. GEA’s online remote access and maintenance service providesreal-time advice and intervention from experienced GEA engineers whenever it is needed.

Add-ons
Add-onsOptions GEA OptiSlicer 6000Weighing system GEA Check 4000

The GEA Check 4000 is a high precision weighing system, detecting single weights of sliced portions while moving these over the check weigher. The single portion weights are analyzed in the slicer for weight regulation. Thus, the slicer is able to respond to varying product cross sections and optimize the deviation in average weights over a long period of production time. All side panels can be removed swiftly without tools for cleaning and maintenance. The weighing conveyors can be swiveled upwards for easy removal of belts for cleaning issues. The GEA Check 4000 is available from 1- up to 4-lane configuration. The weighing system is calibrated for loads between 20 and 5,000 g.
Scanning system GEA OptiScanner 600 / 1200

The GEA OptiScanner 600 / 1200 is a pre-scanner system that makes it possible to slice natural products like dry cured ham and cheese with lowest give-away, maximum yield and on-weight portions. The scanner literally looks into the product and determines the density distribution over the length of the product by means of x-ray technology. In this process, the device detects irregular outer contours as wellas holes, under slices and irregular distribution of fat and meat. Based on the density distribution, the intelligent software calculates the ideal slice thickness and/or number of slices for each portion prior to slicing.

GEA Insights

The breakthrough that changed spray drying
In 1976, NIRO engineers responded to a competitive challenge by rethinking what spray drying could do. Their idea became the multi-stage dryer MSD. Fifty years later, the same fundamental principle helps turn liquids into the powders used in essential nutrition products and important medicines around the world. Refined through decades of engineering expertise, customer insight and continuous development, MSD is a story of innovation with lasting impact.
