Optimize every slice.
The GEA OptiScanner 5000 brings advanced optical scanning to GEA's one-line concept for slicing and packaging, ensuring precise portioning, under 0.1% give-away and greater efficiency.
The GEA OptiScanner 5000 optimizes yield when slicing irregular products by analysing contours and weight in real time. While X-ray scanning remains essential for specific applications—such as cheese varieties with internal holes—the GEA OptiScanner 5000 is purpose-built for many other naturally shaped product segments. It offers a streamlined, cost-effective alternative where X-ray is not required, reducing give-away without added complexity.
Engineered for high-volume production, the GEA OptiScanner 5000 keeps pace with demanding processing lines and ensures it never becomes a bottleneck, enabling seamless integration with downstream slicing equipment. The system handles a wide range of product sizes and is available in two configurations: a standard version for lengths between 200 mm and 600 mm and an extended version accommodating products up to 1200 mm in length.
With the launch of this advanced optical scanner, GEA adds a vital link to its one-line concept for irregular product segments. The OptiScanner 5000 integrates effortlessly with GEA’s broad family of slicers, offering a comprehensive solution from slicing to packaging—delivering consistent quality, high speed and maximum efficiency.
