Evaporation for Petrochemicals

Chemical compounds whose molecules contain carbon are organic chemicals. Their original can be natural, they can be produced by way of fermentation or on the basis of chemical reactions.


Evaporation plants are mainly used for the treatment of products and secondary flows. Thanks to the gentle product treatment, falling film evaporators are primarily used, if required with rectification effects, and increasingly with mechanical vapor recompression which helps to reduce the energy requirement to a minimum.

GEA designed and delivered more than 250 plants for the concentration of organic products, such as caprolactam, amino acids, miscella, ethyl compounds, organic acids.
