GEA overflow valves are dependent on back pressure and are spring-operated, their components have not been tested individually. The lifting stem is sealed by two chloroprene o-ring seals. GEA overflow valves are suitable for installation as: safety devices for controlling the high pressure side of compressors; safety devices in combination with two safety pressure control valves whose components have been tested; safety device for protection of closed pipe systems.
