GEA RedGenium

GEA RedGenium is the standard ammonia heat pump based on the latest GEA Grasso V HP reciprocating compressors. Compact design, efficient compressor technology and lowest refrigerant charges characterize the series. The first choice when it comes to maximum efficiency.

The GEA RedGenium is a compact heat pump for small to medium heat loads. At its heart works the new efficient GEA Grasso V HP reciprocating compressor which is available in three different sizes and suited for all common heat pump applications.

Aligned to the successful GEA BluGenium concept and equipped with heat exchangers configured and optimized according to the project-individual requirements, the GEA RedGenium stands out for lowest ammonia charges, and minimum footprint with maximum efficiency.

The GEA RedGenium transfers heat to a liquid heat carrier providing supply temperatures between 50 and 70 °C which can be utilized in any industrial application where process heat is needed or fed into a local or district heating network.

Between temperature levels of +10 to +40 °C, the GEA RedGenium can be applied with any heat source from ground and surface water, ambient heat sources, to condensation heat from refrigeration plants and waste heat from industrial processes or consumers.

The GEA RedGenium is available with evaporators charged with a liquid coolant or with NH3 cascade evaporators for an efficient “add-on” set-up to a refrigeration system.
