SPW的两侧具有“双肩”结构。与产品接触的内肩和外肩均为不锈钢材质。由于所有轴承都安装在外肩中，所以内肩没有机械零件。这样可以避免产品与机械零件之间发生任何形式的接触。
面团接收料斗可以倾斜，方便压辊总成的清理。料斗为不锈钢材质，并具有圆角，可避免残留物积聚。面团通过安装在肩部的双旋转桨叶轴送入揉面辊，揉面辊通过一系列齿轮驱动。揉面单元由三个具有凸角轮廓的揉面辊和两个光滑的压片辊组成，揉面辊将生面团压缩，而压片辊则产生厚度均匀的面片。所有辊筒均为不锈钢材质。
揉面辊和压片辊由相同的电机驱动。SPW完全没有链轮和链条。辊筒刮刀为食品级塑料材质。
辊筒护罩为不锈钢材质。它们可以轻松打开，并配有防水磁安全传感器。本机具有抛光的内表面，可避免产品残留。
