Credit ratings/ debt market

The international agencies Moody’s and Fitch have been publishing credit ratings on GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft for many years. In March 2023, Moody's confirmed the credit rating at the upper end of the Baa2 rating class and increased the outlook from stable to positive. This reflects the company's continued very good liquidity position, strong order intake in 2022, and significantly improved credit metrics.

In April 2023, Fitch confirmed its credit rating of BBB and the stable outlook. In addition to the continued improvement in profitability, this also reflects GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft's robust business model. Furthermore, Fitch highlights in the rating result that despite the increasing cost pressure GEA continues to improve cash generation and thus mitigates potential free cashflow fluctuations.

GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft has been assigned a CIS-2 rating in Moody's ESG Report again. The positive upgrade of the carbon transition subcategory from 3 to 2 confirms the recent successes of the sustainability targets in accordance with “Mission 26”.

As a result, GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft's credit ratings remain within the investment grade range.
