
The Associate Device Management Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing industrial device connectivity and remote access solutions across installed equipment. The role ensures reliable device communication, supports commissioning activities, enables remote diagnostics, and acts as a technical backbone for Field Service Engineers through training and operational support
Your Tasks
Support commissioning of new connectivity installations, both remote and on-site.
Ensure stable and secure connectivity between industrial devices and remote access platforms.
Validate network configurations, device communication, and system readiness.
Manage firmware updates, configuration changes, and device parameterization.
Ensure controlled rollout of updates with minimal operational disruption.
Maintain documentation for firmware versions, configurations, and connectivity standards.
Diagnose and resolve basic to intermediate connectivity, device, and communication issues.
Collect system logs, analyze errors, and perform root-cause analysis.
Escalate complex or unresolved issues to development, IT, or external vendors with clear technical input.
Support industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, and Modbus.
Ensure reliable data exchange between field devices and digital platforms.
Support internal and external testing, inspections, and FAT/SAT activities.
Support integration of devices in industrial and manufacturing environments.
Onboard new users to remote access and device management platforms.
Train Field Service Engineers on Remote access tools, Device installation and connectivity setup, Basic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Act as a second-level support interface for service teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to connectivity stability, cybersecurity, and usability.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience working with network-connected industrial devices.
Hands-on exposure to industrial/manufacturing environments.
Experience supporting remote access, device management, or IIoT solutions is a strong advantage.
Proficiency with command-line interfaces (CLI).
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, ports, firewalls).
Knowledge of IIoT concepts and industrial communication protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus).
Ability to analyze logs, traces, and system diagnostics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
Clear and structured communication skills.
Ability to train, guide, and support Field Service Engineers effectively.
Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional environment.
