Head of Integrated Supply Chain and Logistics Management

The Head of Integrated Supply Chain and Logistics Management is responsible for leading multi-site warehouse operations, logistics performance, and end-to-end supply chain management across the network. This role provides strategic leadership for material flow, inventory optimization, S&OP readiness, supplier and logistics alignment, and cross-functional execution with production, quality, procurement, planning, transportation, and customer-facing teams. The position drives safety, service, cost, cash, inventory accuracy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Multi‑Site Warehouse Leadership

• Provide executive oversight of warehouse operations across multiple sites, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, logistics, POD, small parts, site maintenance, and material handling.
• Ensure consistent execution of safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity standards across all locations.
• Build a strong operational culture focused on performance, accountability, and engagement.
• Ability to travel 10%-15% of the time.

2. Logistics & Transportation Oversight

• Lead network‑level logistics performance, including inbound/outbound scheduling, transportation planning, and coordination across all sites.
• Resolve transportation delays and support import/export activity across the region.
• Drive Quarterly RFQs and support cost‑effective carrier management.
• Ensure transportation, customs, and trade compliance requirements are integrated into logistics execution, including import/export documentation, carrier performance, and shipment exception management.

3. Facilities & Equipment Management

• Oversee facility readiness, security, and infrastructure across all warehouse locations.
• Manage material handling equipment strategies, fleet utilization, and capital planning.

4. Supply Chain Integration & Cross‑Functional Alignment

• Partner with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Planning to streamline material flow and operational readiness.
• Enhance supply chain visibility, improve lead times, strengthen S&OP readiness, and translate demand and supply plans into executable inventory, logistics, and material flow actions across the network.
• Strengthen inbound/outbound processes and support SAP optimization initiatives.
• Drive supply chain analytics, dashboards, and KPI reporting for service, inventory turns, freight cost, OTIF, cycle count accuracy, supplier performance, and process bottlenecks.
• Partner with Procurement and Planning to manage supplier lead times, replenishment strategies, safety stock levels, supply constraints, and escalation paths that support on-time production and customer fulfillment.

5. Inventory Accuracy & Control

• Lead inventory accuracy initiatives across all warehouses, including cycle counting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of inventory processes.
• Drive root‑cause analysis for systemic inventory issues impacting operations or customer fulfillment.

6. Enterprise‑Level Process Improvement

• Lead Lean initiatives and standardized work across all warehouse sites to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and harmonize processes.
• Develop and implement best practices for layout design, labor efficiency, material flow, and transportation performance.
• Champion cross‑site improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, accuracy, and cost reduction.

7. Talent Leadership & Organizational Development

• Direct hiring, development, and performance management for warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams.
• Build leadership capabilities within the network and ensure teams are structured for scalability and growth.

• Support succession planning and capability development for evolving supply chain needs.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in supply chain is preferred.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, or integrated supply chain roles.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive supply chain management experience, including material planning, inventory management, logistics, supplier coordination, and cross-functional operations support.
• Demonstrated success managing multi‑site operations.
• Proven ability to lead supply chain transformation, S&OP readiness, warehouse and transportation standardization, process improvement, and KPI-based performance management across multiple sites.
• Strong background in Lean, process standardization, and operational excellence.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, SAP master data discipline, inventory transactions, supply planning processes, and reporting tools such as Power BI or equivalent business intelligence platforms.
• Experience with international shipping, import/export documentation, customs compliance, transportation cost optimization, and carrier management preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional influence skills.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,000 - $160,000 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
