What brought you into agriculture / farm technologies?

Although I grew up on a dairy farm, my enthusiasm and passion for dairy farming only truly developed during my career orientation after graduating from high school. After completing my bachelor’s degree at HSWT in Triesdorf and spending a summer working as an alpine dairymaid on a mountain pasture in Austria, I initially worked as a herd management consultant for a GEA dealer in my home region. Since the beginning of this year, I have been working directly at GEA FT in Germany as a Business Development Manager for the product CattleEye—a job I greatly enjoy, particularly the collaboration with customers, dealers, and colleagues.

What makes your work meaningful to you?

The feeling of creating added value for dairy farming in Germany through collaboration with all stakeholders (colleagues, GEA dealers, and customers).

How does your role contribute to the future of dairy farming?

I feel that through my work, I can contribute to making the daily work of farmers easier, while also improving animal welfare.

What will modern dairy farming look like in 10 years in your opinion?

Germany is already at a very advanced level when it comes to dairy farming. In my opinion, we will see even more productive and healthier herds and farms in the future, which will also have a positive impact on the sustainability of the industry.

What change would you most like to see for women in agriculture?

Women cover the same key areas and roles in agriculture as men—often in addition to the tasks that society automatically expects them to perform. I would like to see a shift where women’s achievements and expertise no longer need to be proven first but are recognized as equal from the outset and are visible across all areas.
