What is the GEA Group’s dividend policy?
GEA aims to regularly distribute approximately 50 percent of net profit as dividends.
When is the dividend paid out?
Pursuant to Section 58(4), Sentence 2 of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG), the right to receive the dividend becomes effective on the third banking day following the Annual General Meeting.
Is the dividend distribution tax-free?
No, capital gains tax is levied on dividends in Germany. The paying bank withholds at least 26.375% in tax from the gross dividend paid by GEA Group AG (= 25% tax + 5.5% solidarity surcharge on the 25% tax, plus church tax if applicable). If you submit an exemption order or a non-assessment certificate, the payment will be made without any deductions. For specific tax questions, please contact your custodian bank or a tax advisor.
When does the stock trade ex-dividend?
The stock trades ex-dividend on the first business day following the annual shareholders’ meeting.
By when must I have purchased the shares to be eligible for the dividend?
You must hold the shares in your securities account no later than the day of the Annual General Meeting to receive the dividend after the meeting.
There is no minimum holding period before or after the Annual General Meeting. Deviations may occur in the case of an over-the-counter purchase. Only the seller of the shares can provide you with information on this.
