Aseptomag® valve line

Leakage Valves Aseptomag® ADV

Aseptomag® leakage valves ADV are the simplest form of mixproof shut-off valves. They are used at pipe junctions in aseptic processing plants for uncritical sterile products such as i.e. drinking water.

A welded stainless steel bellows is used to hermetically seal the product area from outside contamination. The integrated steam barrier (ISB) enables the safe separation of the product lines with a sterile media and can be safely closed off from atmosphere via the two integrated side valves.

Main Components

Housing
Housings for aseptic leakage valves are available with two, three or four connection ports. The housings are produced with standard butt-weld connections by default. Mixed connection port sizes as well as various aseptic pipe connections are available upon request.  The housing is characterized by its extended design in valve seat area which enables the integration of up to two fractional size side valves.

Internal Assembly
The internal assembly includes two valve seat seals by default. Both valve seats are executed with screwed valve seat seals. Valve seat A has a radial form seal made of EPDM, whereas valve seat B is equipped with a standard seal made of Tefasep® (alternatively PTFE). Due to the fact that both valve seat seals sit on the same valve stem, they can only be moved simultaneously.

Actuator
The standard version of the pneumatic actuator is designed as spring-closing / air-opening (NC). In addition, an actuator with seat lifting function (AZ) to open valve seat B during CIP is optionally available.

Clamp
Due to its solid construction, the clamp enables a pressure stable and safe connection of the main components. The special design with three segments allows a service-friendly handling of the component, even under tight space conditions.

Side valves
Aseptic leakage valves can be either equipped with one or two side valves. Both of them are available in the executions normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO). The valve seats of the side valves are hermetically sealed via a temperature resistant stem made of PEEK.

Feedback units
Aseptic shut-off valves can be either equipped with open feedback units or T.VIS® feedback systems by default. Feedback units from third party suppliers can be mounted via special adaptors.

Double-chamber valve Aseptomag® DK – valve matrix

Aseptomag® aseptic valves are designed to meet the highest demands for aseptic processes in the dairy, food and beverage industry.

Aseptic bellows valves distinguish themselves with the uncompromisingly hermetic seal of the valve stem, thereby minimizing contamination risks and maximizing detection possibilities. The Aseptomag® valve line is the equivalent for aseptic processes to the hygienic VARIVENT® valve line and provides everything from shut-off and bottom-seat to mixproof and sampling valves. The valves meet the highest hygienic standards required, such as EHEDG and 3-A standards. Thanks to the modular structure, the Aseptomag® valve line also allows tailor-made valve solutions for specific process requirements (higher closing pressures, special materials, special design, etc). Aseptomag® valves can be equipped with T.VIS® control tops and can therewith seamlessly be integrated into an automated process plant.

Aseptic Applications

For aseptic processes, the following areas have to be considered: Product sterilization, conveying and maintaining sterility, and filling under sterile conditions. Aseptic processes signify high-quality products and/or long shelf-life, produced for specific consumer groups. Besides classic UHT milk products, medical nutrition, baby food, aseptically produced beverages and applications within biotech belong to this hygienic class.
