GEA M-Weigher Series
GEA multihead weighers guarantee the highest performances thanks to their remarkable accuracy and reliability. The highest speed version with 20 hoppers, combined with a continuous motion packaging unit, is able to pack up to 130 bags per minute.
The GEA M-Weigher is an high precision multiheads weigher systems for short-cut pasta, which can be coupled with vertical packaging machines or other primary packaging machineries, ensuring high degree of performance and efficiency as well as permitting to to meet the expectations of Customers who are looking for a single supplier to deal with.
The series are composed by single weighing heads which are located in circle and fed by a continuous flux of product coming from a central distribution system. The opening of the hoppers is driven by stepper motors. Moreover, the M-Weighers are supplied with either a feeding belt or a vibrating plate controlled by a weight detection cell and/or photocell. The central cone constantly feeds the vibrators and the weigher is supplied with a powered shutter located inside the unloading chutes to prevent product breakages (the shutter can be easily excluded by program).
Particular attention has been paid to the weigher accessibility and cleaning, making the machine suitable for a wide range of products, from the strongest to most fragile one like snacks, pet food and dry pasta.
Additionally, specific devices have been implemented in order to avoid dust intrusion. The simple construction of the hoppers fits makes their disassemble easy, with machine stops being reduced thanks to the easy replacement of each weighing head.

A back-lit LCD touch-screen type terminal with local intelligence is the operator interface. The display is equipped with an industrial PC with hard disk and USB port. All the GEA M-Weigher are equipped with some standards accessories, specifically designed for the pasta production:
• Central conveying system;
• Antispillage hopper;
• Possibility to store up to 100 different production programs;
• Self-diagnostic system to detects eventual stoppages and identifies the causes.

- Ensuring the handling of big volumes (GEA M-Weigher H10-K);
- Specifically designed for nest shape pasta (GEA M-Weigher H10-L) with the possibility also to put a double hopper timing shutter placed under the weigher, which permit the product rejection and sliding.

The M-Weigher H20 series allows reliability, great accuracy and flexibility in weighing a wide range of products: a very versatile machine, which can be coupled with any vertical packaging machine, cartoning machine or horizontal thermoforming system. The GEA M-Weigher H20 is suitable for many types of products, from snacks to pet food and dry pasta.
Available also in full stainless-steel.
Fitted with step motors that individually control the return/closing mechanism of the buckets, it reduces dust and residual waste accumulation in comparison with the utilization of standard springs.
Furthermore, the individual step motors assure increased precision and reliability in the dosing.
