Palletizers & Depalletizers
The layer preparation system Polaris EVO is equipped with pack gripping heads that move and/or rotate packs to their required position, in order to prepare a whole layer of products according to a pre-defined pattern.

Polaris EVO is a modular system that can be installed as a single unit (for medium-speed lines) or in series (for high-speed lines and/or complex palletizing patterns).
The new handling robot operates in a SCARA-based configuration (Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm). This allows the handling grip to move along a horizontal axis (x-y) only thereby excluding gravity and reducing inertia. A third vertical axis can be used to adjust the grip height (format changeover). To reduce the load on the arm the main motors and are located in the fixed part of the robot and are assembled opposite each other on the same axis.
SCARA configuration guarantees the following advantages compared with traditional Cartesian systems: the footprint is more compact; there is better visibility and easier access for the operator as there are no obstructing support structures; the moving bulk is lower allowing a higher round trip speed; transport and installation is easier.
It is possible to connect the arm to different gripping heads, able to handle either single or multiple packs, as required by the project:
Production capacity: up to 133 ppm (with 2 heads).
Agilis is a palletizer with high level product infeed and a vertical lift pallet loading system. Depending on the production speed required it’s possible to configure a single, double or triple infeed with row preparation on positive belts. Agilis is also available with a pack divider or manipulator to speed-up the production and/or to secure uns...
Low level infeed mono–column type palletizer Artis EVO features a steady pallet loading system and an innovative layer pick-up head. It is suitable for medium/high production capacity.
Fluens is a palletizer with a low level product infeed and a vertical lift pallet loading system; by this configuration Fluens is able to provide palletization for medium-high-speed operations at over eight layers/min. A high level infeed model is also available, achieving a production speed of over ten layers/min.
Low level infeed palletizer Opera with steady pallet loading system is suitable for low/medium production capacity.

What if your favorite chocolate didn’t require cocoa beans and your coffee was locally produced? As climate disruption, price hikes and ethical concerns hit two of our most beloved indulgences, scientists are reimagining how we produce them – using microbes, not monocultures. The goal: preserve the flavor and properties of coffee and chocolate while minimizing carbon emissions and improving food resilience.
Ports now compete not just on logistics, but on sustainability. At Greece’s Piraeus port, an advanced processing and recovery facility recycles ship waste oil into fuel. Equipped with GEA’s high-performance centrifuges, it sets a new benchmark for state-of-the-art, environmentally responsible port operations.
The 2022 CO2 shortage forced breweries to review their dependency on global supply chains. Many were forced to close, unable to carbonate their products. At its breweries in Germany, OeTTINGER GETRÄNKE is turning its own CO2 into a powerful lever for independence and sustainability – with the help of CO2 recovery technology from GEA.
