Reliable hot air for dryers

GEA HotSwirl Indirect Heater

The new GEA HotSwirl Indirect heaters provide reliable hot air at a consistent volume and temperature for GEA’s range of spray and fluid bed dryers.

Quality, reliability and efficiency

The HotSwirl is original equipment from GEA, designed and built with the highest engineering quality and mechanical integrity to provide hot air, at the right volume and temperature, for critical spray drying operations. Users will benefit from many years of reliable service; GEA technical support and maintenance; best in class efficiency through the GEA heat recovery system; and the lowest possible TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

New build or retrofit

GEA HotSwirl is the most practical and efficient heating option for all new spray and fluid bed dryer installations.  The heaters can also be retrofit to existing plants during system upgrades; this is especially important where directly fired heaters are still being used.

HotSwirl range

There are 14 heaters in the HotSwirl range offering air outlet temperatures of 220°C – 250°C and capacities from 2500Kg/hour to 50,000Kg/hour. Two heaters or more can be used in parallel to supply very large drying plants.
