ADVANCED EXPLOSION PROTECTION FOR SPRAY DRYERS

DRIVENT® 2.0 explosion vents

The new DRIVENT® 2.0 high performance, explosion vents from GEA provide EHEDG-certified explosion protection for food, dairy and chemical spray dryers.

Easy fitting and five-year hygiene performance

The new vents are designed to have a long life with precautionary replacement recommended only after five years’ service to maintain hygienic performance. They are lightweight for ‘risk-free’ handling and easy fitting, and have an increased vent area compared with previous models. The DRIVENT® 2.0 is available as a single or double module frame with an integrated gasket and bursting membrane; it can be supplied for standard or removable insulation. The single module can be installed in a wide or high position. The double module is suited to an upright position to avoid a large plane surface in the round chamber.

Safety with lower lifetime costs

DRIVENT® 2.0 is ATEX, EHEDG and 3-A certified (pending) to comply with all current hygiene and safety regulations. Easy fitting, simple maintenance, instant availability and extended operating lifetime significantly reduces TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

The Viton® gasket offers improved resistance to CIP chemicals and is colored blue for easy detection and to help avoid product contamination.

New build or retrofit

The new vents can be fitted to new installations and are compatible with all existing GEA spray dryer installations. This allows them to be retrofit as part of planned maintenance programs.

The DRIVENT® 2.0 is available from stock, helping to keep engineering costs down and availability high.
