Customers, consultants and planners, end users, universities and trade fair visitors will receive valuable information in the "rolling HRT showcase". Once it arrives at its destination, the vehicle literally "unfolds" to become an attractive, 70-square-meter venue with various heating and refrigeration technologies on exhibit or explained in a clear and informative manner on LED screens. Spacious areas with suitable technical equipment are also available for presentations and meetings.

The HRT Truck celebrated its debut on March 24 at a media launch event at the GEA HRT site in Berlin. You can watch a video covering the launch event >>> HERE <<<.
GEA's expertise in heating and cooling systems for industrial applications spans numerous industries. GEA offers high-quality technical solutions for the food and beverage, dairy processing, oil and gas, and marine industries, as well as for district heating. Regardless of whether standardized or customized solutions are involved, the focus is always on the key customer requirements: efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
In the truck, visitors will receive information on product innovations and product launches related to sustainability under the motto "Small Steps, Giant Leap". This motto will be used in 2022 as well whenever this truck is part of a GEA trade fair booth.
The equipment on board is complemented by additional components integral to the world of heating and refrigeration: filters, valves, safety devices by GEA AWP and reliable solutions for servicing and maintaining GEA products.

GEA is currently launching the brand-new GEA Grasso V XHP high-pressure reciprocating compressor series, integrated into the GEA RedGenium standard ammonia heat pump line. This enhancement gives the RedGenium a fundamental boost, providing temperatures of up to 95 degrees at top efficiency and an extended capacity range. In the truck, visitors can take a look at this new compressor, as well as “install” it in the RedGenium using an augmented reality app. The app shows visitors the real life size of the GEA RedGenium.
GEA’s heat pumps are setting high sustainability standards worldwide and are benchmarks for the industry. GEA heat pumps are designed to capture and efficiently transfer any available environmental or process heat at a temperature required by any consumers involved in manufacturing processes or facility and district heating networks, ensuring that valuable heat is not wasted.
Next to the V XHP is a new version of the GEA CompaX: the CompaX 400. This year GEA is adding two new screw compressor models to its semi-hermetic product portfolio: the GEA CompaX 350 and 400. They are the heart of a brand-new GEA Grasso X (multi-)package and of the GEA BluX semi-hermetic chiller series. All of the products operate using the natural refrigerant ammonia.
The packages are available as a package with one CompaX compressor or with up to four identical CompaX 350 or 400 units arranged in parallel. Combined with the wide speed range of each screw compressor, the GEA Grasso X setup is an industry leader in maximum availability, redundancy and efficiency over nearly the entire full and part load range. The refrigeration capacities range from approximately 200 kW to 2,000 kW (NH3, -10/+35 °C).
The existing GEA BluX semi-hermetic chiller series is also getting an upgrade with the new compressors. GEA BluX includes all the features and benefits of the unit. The proven, state-of-the-art heat exchanger set completes the product, turning it into a compact, highly efficient and safe plug-and-play solution. It is available as single and duo version with the CompaX 350 and 400. The GEA BluX covers larger capacities with the existing large CompaX 700 and 900 types.
Visitors can immerse themselves in a world of automation and digitalization as well. On display is the GEA Omni Control Panel, that ensures plant control is efficient, reliable and safe. With its high-resolution, multi-touch screen, GEA Omni provides an easy-to-use application for GEA and other manufacturers to monitor and control screw or reciprocating compressor(s) as well as the entire refrigeration plant.
GEA Omni offers what operators expect from a control panel: maximum efficiency and reliable operation of their system. This advanced, industrial control panel integrates and optimally coordinates all required system components, resulting in a demand-driven, highly energy efficient operating facility. The panel has been installed thousands of times all over the world.
GEA Omni has been configured for more than 25 languages and has the advantage of being distributed and supported worldwide. Operators can be confident that their facility is controlled with a product invented, manufactured and supported by the world leader in refrigeration control panel technology.
Another special feature in the truck is the possibility to walk into a complete brewery and refrigeration plant, through a Virtual Reality experience.

Small but mighty - and also featured in the truck. AWP valves and components are suitable for use with natural refrigerants, non-corrosive gases and liquids, and cooling brine. These valves and components are perfectly designed, developed and manufactured according to customer specifications.
As a natural refrigerant, ammonia is a safe and sustainable choice for most operators with industrial cooling or heating requirements, since it delivers on efficiency. However, it is possible to further enhance plant efficiency and at the same time reduce operating costs simply by selecting the right oil.
GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies, a leading innovation expert in the field of ammonia cooling and heating solutions, released the first PR-OLEO® oil products in 2017 and is now launching a new range to further complement their ammonia cooling and heating product portfolio.
PR-OLEO® products are premium quality oils suitable for all makes of screw and reciprocating compressors across a wide range of applications to help operators boost compressor and plant performance.
Without compromising performance, all PR-OLEO® products within the range are registered as NSF H1 food grade products, offering end users a unique opportunity to complement the natural refrigerant ammonia with a food grade oil that can have a positive impact on both plant efficiency and safety, while at the same time satisfy site food safety requirements.
The versatility of the PR-OLEO® range means a variety of oils are available to suit most new and existing cooling and heating installations, no matter the manufacturer.
For existing installations, upgrading to PR-OLEO® is very easy, since these products are compatible with many other ammonia lubricants, so flushing is typically not required, especially when using the PR-OLEO® oil with seal conditioning additive.
