About the position
Your responsibilities and tasks
Sales and Profitability Growth:
Increase sales and improve profitability by promoting the portfolio of Dairy Support Solutions across the South West area.(Somerset, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall)
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell solutions to maximise revenue.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
Engage with the farming community to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions, including:
Upgrades for calf feeding systems and herd management systems.
VoD conversions/installations.
Footbaths and dynamic parlour testing.
Automated Milking Systems and Conventional Milking Systems.
Slurry equipment and related services.
Campaign Launch and Delivery:
Support the launch and delivery of sales campaigns for Dairy Support Solutions at a dealership level across the South West area.
Effectively target the customer base with innovative and impactful campaigns.
Customer Engagement and Loyalty:
Focus on increasing customer loyalty and satisfaction through consistent engagement.
Participate in County and National farming events to maintain visibility and foster positive relationships.
Sales Administration and Planning:
Prepare sales quotes and establish installation timelines.
Create and order Bill of Materials for customer solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
Service and Maintenance:
Generate, create, and follow up on service maintenance contracts to ensure long-term customer support and satisfaction.
Customer Service and Feedback:
Provide exceptional customer service, including the collection of feedback post-installation to ensure continuous improvement and satisfaction.
Your profile and qualifications
Educational background:
Ideally, a degree or relevant qualification in Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or Agricultural Management.
A strong background in agriculture is essential
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Familiarity with agricultural technology and tools is an advantage.
Experience:
Commercially driven with a strong interest in agriculture and customer-focused.
3+ years' experience in sales or after-sales (preferred).
Desirable knowledge of dairy farm management.
Willingness to travel within the South West region.
Dynamic team player with excellent communication, adaptability, and decision-making skills.
Passionate about animal welfare, livestock farming, agricultural economics, and farm design.
Must hold a Category B driving license.
