Herd Management Specialist, Australia

Reliable data, smart choices, productive outcome!
This Herd Management Specialist is happy to guide farmers trough of the adaptation of automatization. This transition, she says, including milking, feeding, and health monitoring, will improve cows’ performance and health.
Read about her upbringing, her motivation, her thoughts on purpose, her predictions for the future and the change she wants to see for women in agriculture.
I was always interested in agriculture, especially animal production. I enjoy working on a farm, directly involved with the animals, but moved into farm technologies as it is more agreeable with my young family.
Being able to help farmers make smarter decisions for their cows based on data—and ultimately strengthen their businesses—is what fills me with purpose and drives me to show up every single day.
With skilled workers becoming increasingly scarce in Australian dairy farming, the future is steadily moving toward automated milking systems. Being able to guide farmers through that transition—and help them unlock the power of the data behind their cows—means I get to play a part in shaping stronger herds, smarter decisions, and more resilient farm businesses. That’s what inspires me every day.
Modern dairy farming a decade from today will be shaped by widespread automation and real time animal insights, with automated milking, feeding, and health monitoring becoming the norm as labour shortages continue. Farmers will shift from hands on milking to data driven herd management, using integrated systems that improve cow wellbeing, sustainability, and long term business resilience.
I’d love to see more women leading the big decisions in agriculture, shaping the direction of their farms and the industry. With better access to data and the flexibility to analyse it around the demands of everyday life, I believe even more women will feel empowered to step into those leadership roles.

The United Nations declared 2026 the International Year of the Woman Farmer to promote action toward closing gender gaps and improving women’s livelihoods worldwide, while also raising awareness of the vital role women play in agriculture.
GEA Farm Technologies spoke with women in agriculture across the globe to talk about their experiences, their upbringing, as well as their motivation, purpose, predictions for the future, and has asked them about the change they would like to see for women in this line of work.
