GEA’s North American Separation Lab: Capabilities and Customer Benefits

Facility Overview

Located at the North American headquarters of our Separation & Flow Component Division in Janesville, WI, our separation lab provides customers with the ability to determine product properties and identify the solution that will deliver the desired result.  Pilot testing can also be conducted, either at this facility or customer locations, providing flexibility to meet specific requirements.

Analytical Testing Capabilities

The in-house laboratory offers a wide range of analytical tests for products requiring separation, including:

• Spin test analysis (using a heated laboratory centrifuge)
• Classification trials
• Polymer bench testing
• Turbidity, pH, and abrasivity analysis
• Determination of viscosity and specific gravity of all phases

For larger-scale testing, two steam-jacketed tanks are available on-site, allowing customers to test their products on GEA Westfalia Separator equipment with immediate lab analysis and feedback.
