
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electronic components and control systems for digital agriculture and industrial applications. The role includes prototype development, testing, certification coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position also supports product lifecycle activities, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous product improvement.
Your tasks
Design and develop electronic components, control systems, and enclosure/cabinet systems from concept through implementation.
Build, test, and qualify prototypes of electronic assemblies, including execution of initial sampling and validation activities.
Develop suitable test benches and setups to verify functionality and performance of electronic systems.
Execute systematic testing of electronic assemblies, process test data, and evaluate results to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
Prepare detailed wiring diagrams and circuit schematics using engineering design tools such as EPLAN or ELCAD.
Identify, select, and define appropriate electronic components and assemblies in line with project and regulatory specifications.
Generate and maintain technical documentation, including requirement specifications, functional descriptions, manuals, and training documents.
Manage and coordinate certification processes to ensure products meet applicable regulatory and compliance standards.
Perform safety evaluations of machine control systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849, including CE conformity assessments and risk/hazard analysis.
Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
Work closely with cross-site teams and external development partners, while supporting product maintenance, quality management, and technical support functions.
Maintain master data within ERP and PLM systems.
Continuously expand technical knowledge through training, trade shows and related activities, travel to Europe for knowledge exchange
Your profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification (Certified Technician/master’s in electrical engineering).
Strong capability in preparing and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and circuit schematics using tools like EPLAN and ELCAD.
Added advantage if experienced in process automation, digital signal processing, and configuration or programming of frequency converters.
Familiarity with SISTEMA and SAP systems is considered beneficial.
Solid understanding of applicable electrical standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines.
Practical experience in PLC programming environments such as CoDeSys in accordance with IEC 61131-3.
Self-driven and structured working approach with strong communication skills, team collaboration mindset, and high level of accountability.
Interest in emerging technologies combined with practical and solution-oriented thinking.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Flexibility and willingness to travel for business purposes, including international assignments when necessary.
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems would be an advantage.
Confident user of MS Office tools for documentation and reporting purposes.
