Positively impacting the lives of individuals and communities around the globe.

At GEA, we fully embrace our purpose of “Engineering for a better world” – both for customers and for the benefit of society as a whole. We engage in the communities we serve with the aim of making a positive and lasting impact.
By giving of our resources, expertise and time, we help ensure a brighter future for the next generation. That’s why we have set a target to donate 1 percent of our net profit annually.
Through our GEA Foundation, a limited liability nonprofit company, we positively impact the lives of individuals and communities around the globe.
We sponsor diverse educational programs, particularly those with a strong focus on equal opportunities and STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics).
We provide support to non-profit organizations that provide essentials like food and shelter, to give children a chance for a brighter future.
We offer assistance for projects that enable and improve access to clean water, renewable energy and medical care.
We provide support in cases of extraordinary events, such as natural disasters or humanitarian crises.
GEA supports UNICEF, Viva con Agua, SOS-Kinderdorf and Deutsche Universitätsstiftung, among others, to deliver a positive benefit to communities and young people around the world.
Through our partnership with UNICEF, the GEA Foundation helps build a future-ready generation, providing young people in India and Peru with access to STEM-related education and training opportunities to equip them for the jobs of tomorrow.
Viva con Agua’s core mission is providing access to clean water for drinking and hygiene to communities in need. With support from the GEA Foundation, Tanzanian families gain access to safe drinking water and wash facilities.
Children sometimes require temporary or even long-term housing. With a charitable gift from the GEA Foundation, SOS-Kinderdorf Düsseldorf will provide safe accommodation for young people and children in need.
Thanks to a donation to the Deutsche Universitätsstiftung from the GEA Foundation, forty bachelor students in STEM studies across Germany will receive a scholarship and mentoring.
With support from the GEA Foundation, Ingenieure ohne Grenzen will construct a center to improve STEM training for Ugandan students. New workshops, equipment, sanitation facilities and solar panels are planned.
Science on Stage inspires students to pursue STEM careers. Thanks to a donation from the GEA Foundation, teachers will create materials that link energy, nutrition, environment and health topics with engineering approaches.
One of the Stifterverband's aims is to provide more people with critical skills. The GEA Foundation supports the organization’s MINTernational program, which helps STEM students enter the German workforce more easily.

Through strategic partners, GEA supports global and local projects in STEM education, child poverty reduction, infrastructure access and disaster relief.
