ReFlow water system for homogenizers
The ReFlow recirculates the plant process water used by high pressure homogenizers to cool and lubricate plungers making the operation of GEA machines environmentally more sustainable.
GEA ReFlow water system is designed and built to recirculate process water that is cooling and lubricating high pressure homogenizer’s pumping plungers. This reduces the amount of treated process water or potable city water used and nearly eliminates the need for it. The unit can operate independently with its own control system and exchange signals with the homogenizer and the process in which the homogenizer is part of; or in a fully integrated automation system by incorporating the provided functional description into the control system of the process. It is possible to extend and validate the ReFlow system to aseptic homogenizers due to treated water being inherently sterile.

- Robust ceramic membrane to remove all bacteria and nearly all virus, proteins and enzymes
- Conductivity sensor to detect any kind of leaks into the plungers cooling water
- Flow meter to set required plunger cooling flow
- Heat exchanger to remove the heat from plungers and circulation pump
