Liquid & Powder Technologies is the biggest divisions in GEA with a strong global service management team. The Business Transformation Office is a new unit designed to accelerate strategic growth projects with intensity in planning and execution. You will be reporting to the Head of the Business Transformation Office in LPT Service, who is reporting to the Divisional Chief Service Officer (CSO).
This Strategic Project Manager position will be focusing on the key project called Recurring Revenue (RR), which is the ability to transform GEA LPT’s service business from being a one-time transactions service business to become a service partner through long term contracts with our customers. Ideally you will be based in Soeborg, however other European GEA locations are also possible.
Your new roles and responsibilities
Drive strategic initiative to best-in-class service proposals
GEA LPT Service is a global organization, and this role offers an opportunity to work globally in managing the implementation and roll-out of RR concepts to ensure that our service organization can adopt these new competences.
You will be leading the implementation and work packages of the project with select countries together with each of their service departments and develop the means for a successful implementation of RR.
You will lead change management with the local teams, setting the agenda and driving the cultural change needed. Not only that, but you will also be setting an example and thereby be able to work hands-on in all phases of a contract proposal, ensuring that theory is also exercised.
Your key responsibilities include:
Collaborating closely with Portfolio team, Business Units, and local service teams
Manage and drive the RR implementation with the support from your service organization
Coordinate activities, meet deadlines and manage work packages in the project
Liaison with Product Managers to ensure that the service organization is always aligned with our offering
Track KPI’s of success and report measures of success
Provide continuous support on RR activities for the teams involved
Ad-hoc support for service management
Project and product management know how and experience
To succeed in this role, you will need to know your way around project and product management, both planning and execution. You will have a natural drive to accelerate initiatives and find solutions that can push the initiative using a strong analytical mindset. You must also have a convincing presence, being able to sell the concept and adapt to meet all stakeholders’ requirements.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
Have a technical or business educational background, Master’s degree preferred
5+ years of experience with internal/external global project management
Have strong analytical skills & be a conceptual thinker, being able to understand, adapt and convey new concepts
Strong international mindset and understanding how to deal with different cultures
Have and promote a collaborative mindset
Establish and maintain a strong network in your way of working
Are familiar in working with service cultures and service contracts is a preference
Speak and write English fluently, allowing you to interact with colleagues and customers across the globe.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20% per year)
