Applications

In the chemical industry jet vacuum pumps in porcelain / graphite are used for the removal of aggressive gases and steams, if stainless steels are not resistant and if the developing condensate must not be contacted with the cooling water. 

Mode of operation

For this requirement, GEA has designed a compact vacuum pump. This pump in porcelain and graphite has a surface condenser which is executed as a compact heat exchanger. This construction benefits from small dimensions, little space requirement and simple assembly on site. 

GEA designs these pumps for a barometric installation and by the use of a gear pump in Hastelloy also for a non-barometric installation.

These compact jet vacuum pumps are utilized for suction pressures down to approx. 0.1 mbar.
