Aseptomag® valve line

Double-chamber Valves Aseptomag® DK

Aseptomag® double-chamber valves are used for the mixproof shut-off of incompatible products at pipe junctions in aseptic processing plants.

A welded stainless steel bellows is used to hermetically seal the product area from outside contamination. The integrated steam barrier (ISB) enables the safe separation of the product lines with a sterile media and can be safely closed off from atmosphere via the two integrated side valves.

Main Components

Housing
Housings for double-chamber valves are available with two, three or four connection ports. The valves are produced with standard butt-weld connections by default. Mixed connection port sizes as well as various aseptic pipe connections are available upon request.

Internal Assembly
The internal assembly includes two valve seat seals by default. Valve seat A can be executed either with a shrunk or screwed valve seat seal, whereas valve seat B includes a shrunk seal by default. In addition to the standard sealing material Tefasep®, other material options such as PTFE are also available. The nominal diameter of the valve is determined by the larger valve seat (valve seat B).

Actuator
The standard version of the pneumatic actuator is designed as spring-closing / air-opening (NC). Available actuator options include: an actuator without single-seat lifting (just full stroke), one with seat-lifting for seat A plus full stroke (2 valve strokes), and finally one with single-seat lifting for both valve seats (seat A+B) plus full stroke (3 valve strokes).

Clamp
Due to its solid construction, the GEA clamp enables a pressure stable and safe connection of the main components. The special design with three segments allows a service-friendly handling of the component, even under tight space conditions.

Side valves
The sterile chamber includes an inlet and an outlet valve by default. The fail-safe position (NC or NO) of both side valves can be chosen independently from each other. The outlet can be equipped with integrated temperature probe which enables temperature measuring in the sterile chamber. In addition, the outlet can be configured with a divert valve to directly apply a sterile media also to the drain side of the valve.

Feedback units
Aseptic double chamber valves can be either equipped with open feedback units or T.VIS® feedback systems by default. Feedback units from third party suppliers can be mounted via special adaptors.

Double-chamber valve Aseptomag® DK – valve matrix

Aseptomag® aseptic valves are designed to meet the highest demands for aseptic processes in the dairy, food and beverage industry.

Aseptic bellows valves distinguish themselves with the uncompromisingly hermetic seal of the valve stem, thereby minimizing contamination risks and maximizing detection possibilities. The Aseptomag® valve line is the equivalent for aseptic processes to the hygienic VARIVENT® valve line and provides everything from shut-off and bottom-seat to mixproof and sampling valves. The valves meet the highest hygienic standards required, such as EHEDG and 3-A standards. Thanks to the modular structure, the Aseptomag® valve line also allows tailor-made valve solutions for specific process requirements (higher closing pressures, special materials, special design, etc). Aseptomag® valves can be equipped with T.VIS® control tops and can therewith seamlessly be integrated into an automated process plant.

Aseptic Applications

For aseptic processes, the following areas have to be considered: Product sterilization, conveying and maintaining sterility, and filling under sterile conditions. Aseptic processes signify high-quality products and/or long shelf-life, produced for specific consumer groups. Besides classic UHT milk products, medical nutrition, baby food, aseptically produced beverages and applications within biotech belong to this hygienic class.
