Product Driven Steam Jet Vacuum Systems

Product Driven Steam Jet Vacuum Systems are based on proven jet pump technology and often used if the product vapor is used as the motive medium for the jet pumps or if it is essential that no water enters the system.

Our steam jet systems are reliable and require low maintenance.

Applications

Jet vacuum systems are used to create and maintain the vacuum in production plants for Polyester and Nylon.

Mode of operation

Jet vacuum pumps are generally driven by water vapor. Water vapor is easily obtained in industry and has proved itself as a good motive medium. When the motive steam in the jet vacuum pump condenses, condensate is produced which in some cases must be regarded as waste.

This can be avoided if the product vapor which is produced during the process, is used as the motive medium for the jet pumps. The motive steam condensate is then either put to further use in the process or is re-evaporated and is used again as the motive medium. Product vapor driven jet pumps are also used if it is essential that no water enters the system.

Advantages

  • No moving parts
  • Maintenance-free
  • Can be installed in virtually all situations
  • Quickly and easily put into operation
  • Almost unlimited life, when a suitable material of construction is chosen
  • Can be manufactured from various materials of construction
  • Low acquisition costs

Product vapor driven jet vacuum pumps do not differ in their functioning from water vapor driven jet vacuum pumps and therefore offer the same fundamental advantages. In addition, the energy requirement is in part substantially lower than is the case with water vapor driven jet vacuum pumps because of the low evaporation heat of organic vapors.
