GEA Grasso SP1 HP
Specifically designed for subcritical cooling applications with CO₂ or heat pump applications with NH₃ packages of the GEA Grasso SP1 HP series are your logical #1 choice for respective applications.

The GEA Grasso SP1 HP (high-pressure) design is based on the successful, classic GEA Grasso SP1 line. Specific design elements and features relevant for cooling with CO2 or when operating as a heat pump with NH3 makes the SP1 HP series a most efficient and reliable choice for any such applications.

For over a decade GEA screw compressor packages are used for countless CO2 refrigeration and NH3 heat pump projects. Plentiful experience that helped transforming previously customized units into a new standard high-pressure model range.

The series provides 20 models (compressor frame size) for NH3 heat pumps and 17 models (compressor frame size) for CO2 applications.

  • Widest CO2 cooling and NH3 heating capacity range in the market
  • CO2 cooling as low as -54°C evaporation temperature level
  • CO2 packages suitable for defrosting mode with condensing temperatures up to +10°C
  • NH3 heat pump packages provide heat sink temperatures up to +85°C
  • Combined heating and cooling possible
  • Variable speed drive motors (optional) with speed range 1,500 - 3,600 rpm (R to XD models 1,500 – 3,300 rpm)
  • Stepless capacity control via frequency inverter and/or slide system
  • GEA Omni control panel with high-definition 15.6" touch screen
