Membranes are replaced regularly as part of a preventive maintenance plan. That same plan is based on filtration time or a fixed number of CIP cycles. However, if the membrane filtration process is not controlled regularly, membranes with wide pore size distribution may result in giving poor separation performance. In addition to that, the high flow rates used in crossflow feeds can damage shear-sensitive materials.

GEA SmartFiltration application uses a safe IIoT platform that allows GEA to collect and validate the filtration system data to give you full data ownership.

The main dashboard "Overview'' visualizes the collected data in different ways. Some data is visualized into an event list to display the "Production'' or ''CIP'' in a list format of process, other by a trend to displayed, latest flux test, flow rates, analog values (ex. feed overview), pressure inlet, outlet and difference, set-points, actual values, and production amounts. 

Out from the event list, it is possible to access a process summary to see process time, a process in detail, consumption and trend of the process, for Production or CIP. It gives you as a customer, the transparency of the process to analyze and estimate the cost based on the collected consumption per process, ex. process time, production amount, flow rate, water, detergent, power, estimated carbon footprint etc. Clearly for much faster and better transparency for you and GEAs expert to support you much faster and better at the right time when you need it.
