Connecting production sites across road, rail and sea, the reusable system streamlines bulk liquid logistics. It can eliminate drying and reconstitution processes and the use of single-use aseptic packaging. This gives companies greater flexibility to balance capacity, manage seasonal demand, redirect product flows and develop new markets. By extending the aseptic process chain beyond the factory gate, the collaboration between GEA and Oriental Tanks creates new options for decentralized production, contract manufacturing, temporary buffer storage and cross-border distribution.
The solution consists of two key elements:

GEA Aseptic Filling & Emptying Station
Installed and integrated into the production environment, the GEA Aseptic Filling & Emptying Station provides the controlled interface between the production plant and the mobile tank. Standardized CIP and SIP sequences support site-specific validation of cleaning and sterilization and reliable aseptic operation.
A compatible interface at the receiving site enables aseptic discharge, allowing mobile tanks to serve multiple routes while maintaining defined aseptic, quality and process-control requirements.

Mobile Aseptic Tank
At the core of the innovation is a patented continuous pressure concept that maintains controlled overpressure using sterile gas throughout the logistics cycle, helping prevent the recontamination by microorganisms.
Key Benefits
Mobility and scalability
- Moves up to 20,000l of liquid product between production sites, contract manufacturers and downstream users.
- Supports capacity balancing, seasonal peaks and entry into new markets.
- Designed for intermodal transport by road, rail and sea and for temporary on-site storage.
Production protection and quality
- Designed to maintain controlled aseptic and temperature-managed conditions throughout the logistics cycle.
- Preserves better nutritional value and improved mouthfeel by keeping it in liquid form.
- Patented overpressure technology maintains aseptic conditions throughout transport, preventing microbial recontamination.
Resource-efficiency
- Fewer processing steps can reduce energy consumption and product losses in suitable applications.
- The reusable stainless-steel tank reduces reliance on single-use primary packaging.
The Mobile Aseptic Solution is designed to support applicable food safety and transport requirements. Each application is engineered and validated for the specific product, process, route and receiving site.

Innovating for impact: shaping better solutions for customers
Industrial production is being asked to use fewer resources, become smarter and keep equipment productive for longer. At GEA, that is changing how innovation happens: engineering, customer insight, digital expertise and service come together earlier – when a solution can still be shaped at its core.
