GEA UniMix twin-shaft mixer

The GEA UniMix twin-shaft mixers are ideal for extended products such as hamburger patties, meatballs, luncheon meat and ground sausages, and pre-mixing for wiener and frankfurter emulsions.

The effective mixing action with high peripheral wing speed gives good protein extraction, uniform distribution of spices, additives and liquids, and provides effective salt activation.

Working principle

The GEA UniMix is PLC controlled and has a color touch-screen for user-friendly operation. Up to 999 mixing programs can be stored, each with up to 20 individual programmable steps which provide full flexibility. Both mixing wings are independently driven by two
motors and single-speed drive with soft starter is standard, while programmable variable speed is optional. The minimal clearances between mixing wings and hull ensure that powders and other additives are thoroughly mixed in.

Performance

Equipped with two large outlet gates, the GEA UniMix has a very short discharge time and leaves minimal product residue between batches. Multiple applications within recipe mix are available for red meat, poultry, fish and vegetable products. Wing options include 
ribbon types for liquid mixing applications, and paddle with round bars for tumbling and massaging.

Hygiene

Frame, body and mixing wings are made from stainless steel. All corners of the hopper and cabinet are curved and surfaces are fineground and bead-peened to facilitate thorough cleaning. The leak-proof shaft seals are easily removed for daily cleaning.
