Ariete® Homogenizer 5400 - high performance high flow-rate
Reimagine liquids

It may surprise you how many products need homogenization in their manufacturing process to make them more compatible with your daily life. Stabilization and a longer shelf life have always been among the highest priorities in many different processing industries but, especially nowadays, as lifestyles continue to change rapidly, they are becoming more and more valued.
Power and versatility
Ariete® Homogenizer 5400 offers a great versatility and a wide capacity to process all your products with the best possible reliability and safety. Processing parts are absolutely versatile, this in fact allows an easy flow also for viscous products, fibrous juices, dairy by-products and probiotics or in some case it allows to move to a completely different application. Such versatility allows Ariete® Homogenizer 5400 to meet the widest market demands. Ariete® Homogenizer 5400 is also available equipped with a smaller motor of 315 kW, in order to guarantee the best performance and efficiency for all kinds of production.
Efficiency
The growing demand for high efficiency and safe operations in the dairy, beverage and pharmaceutical industries has prompted GEA to develop the only homogenizer in the world able to ensure increasing quality standards for continuous production, using less power and fewer resources compared to the other 5 pistons homogenizers on the market. The high pressure Ariete® pump means 7% higher efficiency in its class, this coupled with the possibility to install GEA high-efficiency options such as NanoValve®, ReFlow, AirFlow and PureFlow allows further savings in production costs (power, water, oil).
Safety and reliability
The new strengthened design confers greater steadiness and stability to the machine in any working condition prevented vibrations and allowing smooth operation and reduced pulsation also for viscous and difficult products. Thanks to GEA`s expert aseptic capabilities in pharma sector:
- Inside and outside design allows extreme hygiene and safety
- Straight pipes for inlet and outlet connection to manifold
- Easy cleaning due to no water stagnation areas
- Slope on external case for discharging
- Motor position allows safe and easy access for the operator
User-friendly
Entirely built around customer’s needs, Ariete® Homogenizer 5400 allows easy and safe accessibility to the inside minimizing service time. The motor position allows safe access to the operator and easy belt tensioning.
Ariete® is registered as a trademark in several countries worldwide.

The breakthrough that changed spray drying
In 1976, NIRO engineers responded to a competitive challenge by rethinking what spray drying could do. Their idea became the multi-stage dryer MSD. Fifty years later, the same fundamental principle helps turn liquids into the powders used in essential nutrition products and important medicines around the world. Refined through decades of engineering expertise, customer insight and continuous development, MSD is a story of innovation with lasting impact.

Beyond the machine: unlocking better plant performance
An efficient machine does not automatically make an efficient factory. Real improvement often starts by looking beyond individual equipment and understanding how processes, energy systems and operating decisions affect one another. It’s a holistic approach designed to uncover opportunities that might otherwise be missed.

How a valve reshapes the way food and drinks are made
In food and beverage plants, valves are commonly operated using compressed air. GEA Hydract® Actuation Technology moves valves with water instead, in a closed, digitally controlled circuit. The result is a valve that can be held exactly in place and steered in fine-tuned steps. This results in lower energy use and greater control.
