GEA’s design capability and experience, coupled with our innovative approach to process plant design, means that many of the challenges involved in hair care product manufacturing can be overcome. GEA’s hair care manufacturing process expertise includes standard and tailor-made mixing and blending, and where a product requires a more stable emulsion through high-pressure homogenization will improve its performance and characteristics. Whether it’s a shampoo, conditioner, hair dye or a styling solution — such as a wax or gel — GEA offers a range of hygienic process solutions for the design and manufacture of liquid and semi-solid hair care products.
Our process solutions have been developed over decades and our ability to incorporate high shear inline mixers with proprietary vessel mixer design optimizes the rapid blending of liquids of widely differing viscosities, the hydration and dispersal of thickening and stabilizing agents and the emulsification of silicone oils, etc., providing a completely solution to your hair care application.
GEA supply state-of-the-art plant that ensures hygienic operability, gentle product handling, repeatable processing and future-proof manufacturing lines. Our expertise includes, among others:

An aseptic pigging system allows to recover cost intensive products out of product lines. Powered by compressed sterile air, the pig pushes the product out of the pipe. The remaining product film on the inside of the product line can then be removed with the CIP.
Aseptic valves face exceptionally high demands within UltraClean and Aseptic processes. You can be assured that they all provide highest quality in terms of hygienic design and sustainability.
Aseptic back-pressure valves are used to regulate a pre-defined pressure in UltraClean and Aseptic processing plants.
GEA Hygienic Butterfly Valves offers the benefits of good hygienic design, higher ease of assembly, shorter assembly and maintenance times and thus higher production uptimes.
