
GEA Global IT is strengthening its IT On-Site Services capability to ensure reliable, business-aligned IT operations across production and office locations.
As a Senior IT Support Engineer – On-Site Services, you will act as the local IT On-Site Services Consultant for assigned UK sites, ensuring stable day-to-day IT operations while coordinating closely with the Service Desk, central IT teams and external service providers.
This role combines hands-on technical support with stakeholder engagement, requiring a structured and service-oriented IT professional who can represent Global IT effectively at a local level.
The position is primarily based in Eastleigh, with travel to other UK locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure stable and reliable local IT operations across assigned sites
Provide hands-on technical support where an on-site presence is required
Act as the local IT On-Site Services Consultant, representing Global IT to site management and users
Coordinate effectively with the Service Desk, central IT teams and external service providers
Support the implementation and adherence to IT standards, governance and security practices
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services and operational processes
Assist with incident resolution, infrastructure support and workplace services where local coordination is required
We are looking for an experienced IT professional with a strong operational background and confidence in working with both technical users and business stakeholders.
Required:
Several years of experience working in IT support, infrastructure or workplace services
Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, workplace technologies and network environments
Experience working within structured IT service environments (ITIL knowledge beneficial)
Ability to coordinate effectively between business users and central IT teams
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with local management and stakeholders
Professional fluency in English

Experience working in manufacturing, industrial or multi-site environments
Experience working with external IT service providers
A structured and analytical approach to problem solving
A strong focus on service quality and continuous improvement
Confidence interacting with both end users and business stakeholders
The ability to translate business needs into clear and actionable IT requirements
A collaborative mindset when working with global IT teams and service partners
