DEAL Project
Smarter Setup Starts Here.
We are committed to making DairyRobot installations faster and more efficient for our dealer network. By actively listening to dealer feedback through surveys, workshops, and meetings, we have developed a series of improvements tailored to your needs. The outcome is what we have named Dealer Efficiency through Assembly & Logistics (DEAL).

DEAL translates dealer experience into installation improvements that make a difference.
Real input. Real impact.
DEAL wasn’t created behind a desk – it was developed hand in hand with our dealers. Their feedback from GEA Dealer Days, peer groups, and direct interviews formed the foundation of this project. They told us what works, what doesn’t, and where installation could be easier, faster, and more reliable. Every improvement in DEAL reflects their real-world experience – not internal assumptions. Our development teams then turned this input into practical, field-tested solutions that make a real difference on the farm.
What are we improving?
DEAL introduces targeted improvements that make the installation process easier, faster, and more reliable – developed from real-world practice and aligned with dealers.
Logistics Concepts
A new packaging and delivery concept minimizes on-site searching and sorting. Clear labels and structured delivery groups show at a glance which materials belong to each installation step.
Design Changes
Technical details were optimized to simplify assembly – with new mounting aids and improved cable routing for the Guided Exit, making setup easier and more ergonomic.
Pre-assembly in Bönen
What can be done in the factory is now pre-assembled – like the pre-dip pump and wiring components – saving time and simplifying on-farm setup.
Training & guides
New quick guides and clearly structured diagrams make installation more intuitive – helping installers find the next step faster without unnecessary searching or questions.

What does DEAL achieve?
With DEAL, the installation of the R9500 becomes noticeably easier, faster, and more reliable for dealers. The measures were specifically developed to solve typical setup challenges. The results:
-
Reduced installation times

First Release Package coming up in July 2025
We are excited to introduce the first of three release packages, each designed to support you in delivering even greater efficiency and success. We want to ensure that you are as competitive as possible, which will allow your business to become even more efficient.
FIRST RELEASE
In our first release, we’re targeting a significant reduction in installation time for the DairyRobot R9500. How? With smarter logistics and time-saving pre-assembly measures. From the updated Pre-Dip Unit and Filter + Safety Assembly to optimized delivery groups and clearer packaging – every improvement is designed to make your work on site faster, smoother, and more efficient.

Implemented in orders leaving factory: 1. Sept. 25
Pre-Dip Update
Faster Installation:
All Pre-Dip components now come pre-assembled on the dosing unit—no on-site assembly needed.
Clear Scope:
Applies to all customer orders entered after May 9, 2025, and to orders with a required delivery date after September 1, 2025.
Easy Identification:
For new orders, the Pre-Dip supply hose (12mm & 8mm) will be delivered in orange. For adjusted orders, the natural color hose can still be used.
Benefit:
Dealers save time, reduce installation errors, and enjoy a smoother setup process.

Implemented in orders leaving factory: 1. Sept. 25
Filter + Safety Assembly
Time-Saving:
The safety assembly will now be delivered pre-assembled—no more on-site assembly needed.
Clear Scope:

Dealers benefit from faster, easier installations and reduced assembly errors.

Affects orders inputted into the system as of: July 2025 (Order Intake)
Optimized Delivery Groups
Simplified Installation:
All parts needed for each robot component are grouped together in clearly labeled delivery groups—no more sorting during installation.
Easy Identification:
Large, visible abbreviations on package labels and loading lists make it quick to find what you need during unloading and inspection.
Faster Unloading & Inspection:
Grouping parcels by delivery group reduces time spent sorting and checking incoming goods.
Benefit:
Dealers save time and effort at every step—from truck unloading to installation—making your operations smoother and more efficient.

Available as of: July 2025
Drilling Template
Accurate Installation:
Correct door post placement is crucial for reliable robot operation—especially the door lock.
Easy & Reliable:
GEA now provides a special assembly gauge to quickly ensure perfect positioning every time.
Universal Fit:
One tool (Part No. 7821-9926-180) works for both left- and right-hand robots—just flip it over. Suitable for the R9500 & R9650.
Benefit:
Dealers can install with confidence, reduce errors, and ensure optimal robot performance.

Go-Live Date: July 2025
Step-by-Step Guide
The installation and commissioning steps are not always shown in chronological order in the current manual (7821-90XX-021, section 3). A check list has now been included in the user manual which allows for a step-by-step install from start to finish.
Follow Steps in Order:
Work through the installation steps in the order provided.
Easy Reference:
Detailed information for each step is referenced (manual/chapter).

Cables & Hoses
More Flexibility:
All cables and hoses are now delivered in one continuous piece per type—no more multiple short lengths.
Simpler Installation:
Labels for each required length are attached to the single piece, so you can cut to size as needed on-site.
Less Searching:
No need to hunt for the right length—everything you need is in one place.
Benefit:
Dealers save time, reduce confusion, and gain flexibility during installation.

Implemented in orders leaving factory: Mid July 25
Udder Illumination
Before:
Dealers had to route the cable all the way from the end frame, under the base plate, through the milking unit, and into the control cabinet for connection.
Now:
- The udder lighting cable is pre-wired at the factory.
- A tool-free connector is attached at the end ofthe cable, allowing for quick and easy connection to the udder lighting cable.
- The connector is simply placed in the end frame’s cable channel.
Benefits:
- Significant time and labor savings as you no longer need to spend time routing the cable through the entire system.
- Connection is made directly and effortlessly at the end frame.

Next Steps
- Marketing Info:
This marketing information serves to inform you about project DEAL and the detailed measures contained in the first release package. An online campaign page will also be prepared – the link will be shared in due course. - Further Communication:
There will be two further release packages, saving you additional installation time and providing further benefits such as reduced potential for installation errors. The second and third release packages will be communicated in due course via separate marketing info’s. - Feedback Survey:
Our team will prepare a survey in Q1 26. We would highly appreciate your participation in this survey. This will allow us to learn what you found beneficial, or where optimizations may still need to take place. - Pricing:
Project DEAL streamlines operations by shifting on-site tasks to the factory, such as through pre-assembly. While this approach may result in a modest increase in upfront pricing of the DairyRobot, it can offer savings in installation costs.
