
The Associate Technical Writer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving technical documentation across service, engineering, customer‑order, and internal documentation domains. The role ensures documentation is clear, accurate, user‑focused, standards‑compliant, and continuously improved through structured authoring and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Develop and maintain assembly manuals, operating guides, maintenance manuals, troubleshooting guides, and service documentation.
Apply structured authoring principles for consistent, modular, and reusable content.
Ensure clarity, consistency, and safety by applying controlled language and best‑practice writing guidelines.
Deliver documentation optimized for readability, usability, and task effectiveness.
Create SOPs, technical reports, release notes, knowledge‑base articles, training materials, and internal process documentation.
Maintain documentation templates, style guides, and approved terminology sets.
Conduct quality checks such as terminology consistency, link validation, and structural rule checks.
Support continuous improvement through structured review cycles and feedback integration.
Produce complete customer‑specific documentation packages including:
As‑sold / as‑built documentation
Spare‑parts lists, datasheets, technical certificates, schematics
Installation and commissioning documentation, warranty and maintenance packs
Manage revisions, approval workflows, and compliance requirements across multiple industries.
Ensure documentation aligns with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain compliance‑ready technical files, safety content, and risk documentation.
Support audits, conformity assessments, and documentation‑related regulatory activities.
Coordinate document translation and localization with internal teams and external vendors.
Maintain terminology consistency across all languages.
Deliver high‑quality documentation in English.
Collaborate with engineering, service teams, product management, and technical experts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Conduct usability reviews, clarity assessments, and field‑level validation.
Use feedback and usage insights to enhance documentation effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation roles.
Experience working with cross‑functional engineering or product development teams.
Strong understanding of structured documentation practices, version control systems, and markup languages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
