
As a Senior Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and governing strategic procurement initiatives within your assigned categories. You will work closely with Category Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations. You lead supplier relationships, drive negotiations, and ensure our purchasing decisions align with both category and business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Tactical Procurement
Contribute to the development of category strategies.
Lead cost‑reduction initiatives, payment term improvements, and supplier‑led innovation.
Execute RfX processes, conduct negotiations, and manage awarding decisions.
Supplier Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers.
Monitor and steer supplier performance (quality, service, price, capacity).
Coordinate supplier audits, qualifications, and sustainability initiatives.
Prepare and manage framework agreements, NDAs, and compliance documentation.
Project Procurement
Act as Lead Buyer for assigned (including complex or high‑risk) projects.
Ensure procurement input throughout the full project lifecycle.
Develop and manage the Project Procurement Plan.
Mitigate risks related to cost, timelines, and supply chain constraints.
Collaborate with Logistics on import/export and transportation requirements.
Bachelor or Master in commercial or technical education.
Proven experience as a (senior) buyer in an industrial, technical, or project‑driven environment.
Strong in contract management, negotiations, and cost analysis.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and procurement tools.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial insight.
Proactive and results‑oriented, comfortable working in a matrix organization.
Fluent in English.
