Il frazionamento è eseguito con processo di Cohn con centrifughe a camere raffreddate altamente affidabili. Questi separatori operano con prestazioni che consentono portate fra 300 e 1000 l/h. Sono sistemi affermati da tempo in tutto il mondo che hanno dimostrato il loro valore con più di 400 macchine vendute per il frazionamento del plasma ematico umano. La conformità allo stretto intervallo di temperatura da -3 a -6 °C è un elemento importante per il processo. Nei separatori di chiarificazione questo intervallo è mantenuto da circuiti di raffreddamento.
