    GEA shows complete process integration for plant-based beverages at BrauBeviale 2019

    Beneath its focus on brewing at BrauBeviale, GEA will also be addressing other beverage industry trends at the trade show in Nuremberg. These include GEA’s 360-degree solutions to produce plant-based beverages. Bean- and cereal-based convenience products such as drinks have gained popularity all over the globe, riding high on health- and environment-conscious dietary trends. “GEA makes the vegetarian segment into one of its focal areas for development. Not only is demand high around the world but GEA’s extensive project experience and technology portfolio allow us to support customers every step of the way, through to service in ongoing operations,” says Colm O’Gorman, GEA Business Manager Plant-Based Beverages.

    Helmut Korthöber named Chief Service Officer of GEA Farm Technologies division

    The new three-member Management Board of the GEA Farm Technologies division have all officially been appointed: Peter Lauwers will transfer from Atlas Copco to GEA on February 1, 2020, and assume the position of CEO. He will be joined by Helmut Korthöber, who assumed the newly created position of Chief Service Officer (CSO) for GEA Farm Technologies division as of November 1, 2019. Erkul Basaran, who has worked successfully for GEA for more than eight years – most recently as Head of Finance – was appointed CFO of the division already in September of this year.

    GEA posts increase in order intake and revenue in the third quarter, raising 2019 revenue outlook slightly

    Technology group GEA posted an increase in both order intake and revenue in the third quarter of 2019. Order intake rose to EUR 1.25 billion in the last quarter, an increase of around 5 percent compared to the same quarter in 2018. Both basic business and six large projects (three of which were awarded in dairy processing) contributed to this positive development.
