GEA Group is seeking new and experienced and dedicated Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. This role involves supervising the start-up of our product line, performing maintenance procedures, providing warranty work, and offering advanced technical support. If you have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for customer service, we want to hear from you!
Location: These are remote, travel positions that require incumbents to visit customers' locations throughout the US.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Respond to customer requests and field dispatches.
Meet with customers on-site to discuss service or repair needs.
Provide advanced technical support and perform advanced troubleshooting for compressor packages, electrical, and control systems.
Perform retrofitting of industrial control panels across multiple manufacturers.
Conduct compressor repairs and address controls-related issues, including PLC and Microlink.
Maintenance and Repair:
Complete routine maintenance or repair in accordance with ANSI/IIAR-6 2019 standards.
Inspect machinery to confirm proper working order and provide preventative measure suggestions.
Supervise the start-up of the company's product line and perform warranty work.
Discuss work completed with the customer and provide technical training to users/customers.
Collaboration and Improvement:
Assist other departments in developing new products and improving existing products from a service perspective.
Recommend improved tools, procedures, and devices for service operations.

Profile And Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
Technical school certification in refrigeration or similar field preferred.
RETA CARO or CIRO Certification preferred.
2+ years of experience with industrial refrigeration equipment REQUIRED.
Capable of reading P&IDs and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and major components.
Advanced working knowledge of electrical systems and control schemes.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues.
Excellent time management skills.
Must be a self-starter and driven.
Physical ability to perform tasks (e.g., lifting 75lbs, maneuvering in small spaces).
Ability to travel up to 90%
Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $27.84 - $54.66 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
