
The production lead is responsible assisting/leading the batchmasters, machine operators, labelers and powder room and shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Serve as back up to machine operators, batchmasters, labelers, powder room and shipping personnel.
Serve as a back up for the Production Manager for all OPS & SAP duties.
Attends or facilitates meetings in support of the various initiatives.
Follow all manufacturing procedures per sap, GMP, & FDA requirements.
Follow all batching instructions per individual batch tickets.
Assure that bulk deliveries are hooked up to the proper storage tank prior to unloading.
Required to load and unload trucks and verify that information on paperwork (material, delivery
day/time, weights, etc.) is correct.
Responsible for maintaining a constant flow of production consistent with established production and
quality standards.
Prepare packaging material to fill, seal and palletize various package’s according to manufacturing order.
Ensure product is being filled in appropriate and pre-labeled containers.
Ensure all SAP procedures for receiving, work in process, batch production, transfers, & shipping are
completed in a timely manner.
Ensures that orders past due (OPD’s) are shipped immediately after notification from Scheduler.
Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of the manufacturing industry especially working with batches and hazardous liquid chemicals.
Be certified to operate various forklift trucks.
Be familiar with operating procedures for conveyors, scales, hoists, meters, etc.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.
Be familiar with procedures such as lock-out/tag-out, confined space, HAZMAT, forklift safety and various other safety measures.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $29 - $32 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
