System Design and Engineering:
Execute new product development projects and maintain existing product lines per engineering instructions.
Design, develop, and engineer customized industrial refrigeration and heat pump systems during the project proposal phase.
Perform design calculations and component selections for new product development and existing product upgrades.
Select and integrate components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and controls into efficient system designs.
Ensure that standard products are designed within code and safety standards, quality standards, reliability standards, and compliance standards.
Client Consultation and Support:
Act as a primary technical advisor to clients, providing expert recommendations on system design, operation, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical and commercial support to both internal and external Sales groups during the pre-order stage of projects for both standard and custom industrial refrigeration and heat pump systems.
Respond to client needs, inquiries, and concerns professionally and promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
Develop accurate, detailed proposal documentation that is both technically sound and commercially viable.
Create comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, schematics, calculations, and project reports.
Maintain detailed records of project activities, findings, and technical recommendations.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Provide technical training to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on refrigeration principles, best practices, and maintenance.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.
Profile And Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) highly preferred.
1-10 years of experience in job offered or related within the refrigeration industry or experience with heat pump and heat exchanger applications highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detailed oriented and customer oriented.
Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a time-line driven environment.
Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and resolve issues.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide on-time delivery of drawings, BOMs, and documentation to internal and external customers.
Continuous optimization of engineering processes.
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
