Chief People & Sustainability Officer | Labor Director

Dr. Nadine Sterley joined the Executive Board in January 2026 (appointed until December 2028). She is responsible for the newly created People & Sustainability Board area and serves as Labor Director. Her responsibilities include Human Resources, Sustainability and Legal, as well as Internal Audit, Real Estate and Q&HSE.
Prior to her appointment to the Executive Board, she served as Chief Sustainability Officer and Human Rights Officer and was appointed to the Global Executive Committee in 2023. Previously, she served as Senior Director in the CEO Office. In 2020 she also became a member of the Supervisory Board of GEA Westfalia Separator Group GmbH. She began her career at GEA in 2016 as in-house counsel and specialist attorney for commercial and corporate law. Before joining the company, she worked as a lawyer for the international law firm Luther in Frankfurt am Main and gained professional experience in Washington, D.C.
Nadine Sterley was born in Schwerin, Germany, in 1980. She studied in Rostock and Gothenburg and earned her doctorate in law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Cologne, and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
